| MGE Graphic Systems India at WAN IFRA – Chennai 2011 | |||||||||||
| The WAN-IFRA conference was MGE India’s first Newspaper specific exhibition that we have participated in and after a very successful 3 days, it wont be the last ! On the stand, we were showcasing our Chilling systems as well as our Hydrair Ink pumps and Ink distribution systems and the interest in both was exceedingly strong. And whilst most discussions involving Chillers were in regards to MGE’s largest systems, we had an unexpected bonus when we sold the 4kW system we had on the stand to a local South Indian Printer. |

|
During the course of the 3 days, MGE had detailed discussions with several of the largest Indian National Newspaper houses as well as many regional ones and it is fair to say that in virtually every case, there were plans to upgrade sites offering significant opportunities for the types of equipment that MGE can offer as upgrades and technology advancements. After a couple of slower years, it is great to see that the Indian Newspaper industry is moving forward at a fast pace again and that the intention to invest and improve printing facilities is high on everybody’s agenda once more. And with the products we have on offer at MGE, we’re ready and able to assist in supporting the industries advance into the future. MGE India exhibiting at Printpack 2011 – 16th to 21st January
For MGE India, Printpack 2011 will be an important exhibition and will allow us to gauge how well we are progressing in the Indian market. At the 2009 exhibition, it was all about our company launch and commencing the manufacture of products in our new factory on the outskirts of Delhi. Two years on having achieved ISO 9001 accreditation and with the domestic print market starting to pick up again, we are anticipating a good exhibition response allowing us to build on our relationships with both OEM’s and local printers. From a product perspective, our focus will be on demonstrating how our products can improve your printing, reduce your costs and lower your impact on the environment. Be it our energy efficient chillers keeping your electricity usage down, filtration devices extending fount life and minimising chemical usage or our effective RO systems reducing wastage during water purification, MGE have the solutions. In addition, MGE India will also be announcing 3 new tie-ups with European companies at the show, bringing their products to the Indian market along with ongoing support. We
look forward to seeing you there – Hall 7A Stand A6 ! |

MGE at PrintPack India 2009 Over the past couple of years, MGE has been active in the Indian market supplying chilling equipment through our distribution channels, however, for us, Printpack India 2009 was especially important as it was to be used it as a launch pad for our new Indian joint venture company, MGE Graphic Systems India Private Ltd. The company has been formed to manufacture and supply MGE’s PRESSMATE range of equipment to give Indian offset printers quality solutions for the total control of their fount solution during the printing process. Equipment includes Dampening Chillers, Additive Dosers, Fount Filtration and Water Purification. On the stand we were promoting our new range of chillers for web presses giving solutions from 3kW to 20kW and had our flagship 20kW chiller both on display as well as running on Perfect Rotary Offset’s stand as part of their live web press demonstrations. On the sheet fed side, we were displaying our 1kW dampening chiller with alcohol control and again visitors were able to see it in action on Max Machinery’s stand with their demonstrations on their MR427 4-colour press. Other equipment on display included our MX2 automatic fount doser as well as our specialist FX-1 Fount Filtration System designed to clean and extend the life of the fount solution, both improving print quality and saving the printer money (and incidentally, sold within the first 2 hours of the show opening!).
MGE had a great start to the show with a visit from Mr Sanjay Gupta, President of IPAMA and Mrs Sheela Bide, Chairman and MD of the Indian Trade Promotion Organisation, who were both able to offer some sound advice on the Indian Print market and encouragement for MGE’s new commitment into it. This was then followed up with 6 hectic days of enquiries and meetings with the various Indian OEM press manufacturers. Overall, the reception of the new company and equipment at the show was fantastic both with end-user printers and also the OEMs. Although PrintPack 2009 has now come to an end, MGE India’s work is only just beginning as we respond to all the enquiries received on the stand and strive to meet all our future customers’ expectations. The potential for MGE’s PRESSMATE equipment in the Indian market looks very promising despite these difficult economic times. A big thank you to everybody who visited us at the MGE stand and saw our systems. If you wish to contact MGE India, we can be reached by email on info@mgeindia.com or phone at 0931 2267811. Simon

| MGE
are pleased to announce that they have recently begun supplying PRESSMATE
cooling equipment to Hamada Printing Press Co. Ltd for fitting to specialist
envelope printing presses in their range.
The CS205 NOALC is a compact 0.5kW unit providing cooling and fount circulation to the press. It has been designed specifically for the needs of their EV-Master Envelope Presses and was shown connected to an EV-Master4 running demonstrations on the Hamada stand at the recent Drupa 2008 show. At the request of Hamada, other customisations were also made to the design. These included cosmetic adjustments such as changing the colour\finish of the circulator as well as technical changes such as the inclusion of an air filter and additional insulation. In this way, MGE were able to provide a system that exactly matched Hamada’s needs. “Since their initial launch in 2004, MGE’s PRESSMATE circulators have proven themselves to give consistent and reliable performance, meeting and exceeding customer’s expectations,” said Simon Martin, MGE’s Technical Director. “The Circulator market for sheet-fed presses is very competitive. However, where we have had the opportunity to work with press manufacturers, we have been able to successfully demonstrate that we can offer a quality product with a flexible attitude to its supply. This has been the case with Hamada and we are very happy that they have decided to offer PRESSMATE units with their products.” For

| MGE to show new Reverse Osmosis Water Purification unit at Drupa 2008 | |||||||||||
| “A
pure consistent water supply, day in, day out, 365 days a year”
MGE will be showing their new PRESSMATE RO-01 water purification system on their stand at Drupa 2008. The quality and consistency of a Printers output is as critical as ever in today’s highly competitive market. However as environmental concerns push for reduced chemical and alcohol usage, so water consistency becomes more and more crucial in the printing process to maintain the high standards expected. The PRESSMATE RO unit has been specifically designed not just as a water purifier, but also as a complete press water management system suitable for single or multi-press installations. Sediment and Carbon pre-filters ensure initial particle and chlorine removal whilst the high quality TFC RO membranes separate out other impurities resulting in a constant supply of ultra pure water. An integral dosing pump then adds a small percentage of synthetic hardening agent to bring the water back to an optimal level of hardness and this water is then stored until it is needed in an airtight pressurised tank to prevent airborne contamination. Test taps have also been fitted between each process step to ensure the operator can accurately set-up and monitor each individual stage. The PRESSMATE RO unit is available with 3 different production rates, 1,400 litres/day, 2,300 litres/day and 4000 litre/day and is offered with a selection of options including an integral additive doser and conductivity measurement. | MGE to launch new Varnish Circulator at Drupa 2008 | |||||||||||
| “Reliable
circulation, Simple to operate, Easy to clean”
MGE are pleased to announce that following successful field trials, they will be launching their new Varnish Circulator for sheet fed presses at Drupa 2008. Developed with input from both printers and OEM’s, the PRESSMATE VC-01 has been specifically designed to give reliable circulation of water based and UV varnishes to the coating unit during the press run and a fast, easy to run wash-up cycle once the job is complete. The PRESSMATE VC-01 can be fitted to supply coating units equipped with either a chamber doctor blade system or rollers. The unit works on a simple 4-stage program cycle set on the front of the machine. At system start up the unit is set to ‘purge’ to remove excess cleaning water from the previous cycle. The operator then switches the unit to ‘run’ mode to circulate the varnish. On completion of the job the unit is changed to ‘drain’ to remove the excess varnish from the system and finally is set to ‘wash’ to clean the coating unit using the PRESSMATE VC-01’s internal heated water reservoir. The supply of varnish is taken direct from the manufacturer’s container thus avoiding secondary handling and the PRESSMATE VC-01 is fitted with external level sensors to ensure that the coating unit is filled with the optimum level of varnish at all times. All processes are powered by electrical systems unlike some competitive products that require a combination of electrical and pneumatic control. This approach has been taken to eliminate putting additional load on the Press air system or the possible requirement for an additional compressed air supply. For
additional information or to request a meeting at the Drupa exhibition
to discuss this or any other PRESSMATE product, please contact MGE’s
sales department on tel +44 (0)1206 842244 or by email at sales@mgelectric.co.uk

| MGE to showcase new Fount Management Unit at Drupa 2008 | |||||||||||
| “Improve
your print quality, save money and reduce your impact on the environment.”
MGE are pleased to announce that in conjunction with their print partner, Intelligraph Technology, they will be showing a new unit on their stand at Drupa 2008 specifically designed to provide total management and monitoring of fount solution used during the print process on web and sheet-fed presses. FountManagerTM is a fully integrated automatic system providing accurate control and monitoring of all aspects of the fount solution including alcohol and additive dosing (to accurately maintain pH and conductivity levels), water treatment as well as a complete multi-stage filtration\recycling system. Accurate control of chemicals keeps their usage to a minimum directly saving the printer money whilst the filtration/recycling system prolongs the life of the fount solution meaning less downtime cleaning the system, less waste disposal and ultimately less impact on the environment. Advanced sensors on FountManagerTM also record environment measurements in the pressroom including room temperature, humidity and VOC\Ammonia Emissions. All this data is centrally logged and stored on the inboard PLC based system. This information can then be viewed graphically on the integrated touch screen or alternatively downloaded to computer (via network or USB) to allow the Press Manager to fully review any aspects of the fount solution that may be affecting the quality of the presses print output. It also gives the ability to record ongoing fluid consumption meaning that usages can be calculated and costed on a weekly, daily, hourly, or even per job basis. The system includes a variety of Alarm options (Visual, Audio, SMS) to inform when parameters are outside the desired settings. Operators can also SMS the FountManagerTM to receive status reports or to modify parameters remotely if needed. FountManagerTM will change the way you look at Fount Solution in your Pressroom. For
additional information or to request a meeting at the Drupa exhibition

| NEW FX-1 Filtration Unit added to MGE’s PRESSMATE Range of Dampening Circulators | |||||||||||
A new fount filter system for prolonging the life of your fount solution. MGE are pleased to announce the launch of their new PRESSMATE FX-1 filtration system, suitable for all sheet fed presses. The PRESSMATE FX-1 has been designed to prolong the life of the fountain solution by filtering out particles and contaminants picked up from ink, paper and spray powder whilst the press is running. Providing 10 litres per minute flow rate, it provides excellent filtration with no disturbance of fount. This vastly reduces waste and down time for the tank cleaning, making both chemical usage and the impact on the environment far lower. “The first thing that attracted me to this unit was the realistic cost and then the performance speaks for itself,” said Mr Lincoln Barnwell, Director of Barnwells. “Once installed, our drying time was improved dramatically. We used to dump our fount every two weeks and now it’s every 2 to 3 months. We also reduced the damp on the plate and alcohol level by 2% and finally the calcium build-up is now much lower.” The Pressmate FX-1 also benefits from three stage filtration, a self-priming pump with run dry capability, filter blockage cut-out with indicator lamp, and a pressure gauge for filter condition indication. MGE will be exhibiting the new PRESSMATE FX-1 at DRUPA 2008 in Dusseldorf, Germany, from 29th May to 11th June, in Hall 10, stand E52-4. For
