The Alpha II is a semi-automatic one to one Rewinder capable of rewinding a variety of films as well as Aluminium Foil. There is a surface driven unwind roller controlled by an AC drive on the system. Dynamic braking is used to slow and stop the roller between operations.

Both the unwind and rewind pressures are independently controlled by a constant pneumatic system, while a manual slack edge adjustment at the rear provides the two-position rewind turret with a perfect finish. The finished roll length is precisely measured by an electronic counter using a preset control system ensuring even decelleration at the end of each roll.

The positioning and design of the Mother Roll cradle provides the ability for quick and easy changeover of heavy rolls of material. As standard, the machine is provided with both Unwind arms for running film as well as a pair of strengthened unwind shafts for rewinding heavy foil rolls.
