The Alpha CPF (Cold Needle Perforation) and Alpha HPF (Hot Needle Perforation) are semi automatic one to one converting machines capable of rewinding and perforating a large variety of films of various thicknesses. The unwind roller is surface driven by an AC Drive and the unit includes a dynamic braking system to slow and stop he roller between operations.

 
Both the unwind and rewind pressures are controlled by a constant pneumatic system, with the rewind incorporating a two position manual turret feature as standard. The finished roll length is precisely measured by an electronic counter using a preset control system ensuring even decelleration at the end of each roll.

The Alpha CPF is fitted with a perforation shaft on the rear of the machine which can have a custom designed needle perforation drum fitted to perforate small holes (~1mm) of specific patterns across parts or the whole of the web width.

The Alpha HPF is fitted with a Hot needle perforation unit on the rear of the machine which can be raised and lowered pneumatically to allow easy access and webbing of materials. It can be fitted with various needled collars to make up the desired perforation pattern needed across the film's width. The advantage of the hot needle system is that it can create perforation holes of a much larger diameter (1mm-3mm+) where increased perforation for the film's application is required.
